Most Doctors Don't Mention This Until It's Too Late

Hi Reader

This week's YouTube video is not a trending topic, and honestly? It probably won't get a ton of views.

But here's the thing: I don't make videos to go viral. I make them to genuinely help people and lately, this topic has been coming up constantly in my clinic.

I've been having so many conversations with clients about blood sugar control. Many of them work with their doctor alongside me, and taking a proactive approach has revealed something important: a lot of them have pre-diabetes and had absolutely no idea.

Here's what's scary: most people with pre-diabetes don't know they have it. And by the time the doctor brings it up, you're often already in the diabetic range and being told you need medication.

The truth? There's a lot you can do before it ever gets to that point.

That's where your HbA1c comes in. You might have seen those blood glucose monitors people use now โ€” they give you a snapshot of your blood sugar at one moment. But HbA1c shows your average blood sugar control over the last 2-3 months. There's no hiding. You can't trick it by eating well just one day before the test.

And that's exactly why being proactive matters so much. If you catch pre-diabetes early, you can make huge changes before it ever turns into a conversation about diabetes.

So if this sounds relevant to you โ€” or someone you care about โ€” I'd really encourage you to watch this week's video. I break down what HbA1c actually is, why it matters, and the practical, science-backed steps you can start right now to balance your blood sugars naturally.

And these tips aren't just for people with diabetes โ€” they'll benefit anyone who wants more steady energy, fewer cravings, and better long-term health.

Hi Reader ๐Ÿ‘‹ Happy (belated) International Women's Day! ๐ŸŒธ In the spirit of celebrating women, I want to talk about something that affects women disproportionately more than men... Constipation. I know, not the most glamorous topic, but over the years in my nutrition practice, I've had more conversations about constipation than almost any other topic, and it's almost always women who are quietly dealing with it. That's not a coincidence. Hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle, gut...

Hi Reader ๐Ÿ‘‹ I hope your 2026 is off to a great start! I wanted to quickly share something important about how the internet is changing. With more AI-generated answers and search algorithms shifting, itโ€™s becoming harder for people to find real, tested recipes and trustworthy nutrition content. More and more, Google is summarizing content instead of sending readers to the original blog posts & videos. For creators like me, that means fewer people reaching my site, which makes it harder to keep...

Hi Reader ๐Ÿ‘‹ This time of the year, everyone is jumping on 'healthy' habits. And I love the intention but if youโ€™ve ever thought,โ€œIโ€™m doing everything rightโ€ฆ so why is the scale not moving?โ€ then this new YouTube video was made specifically for you. In it, I break down 5 very common โ€œhealthyโ€ habits that I see constantly in my clients. Habits that sound good on paper, but often quietly stall weight loss. We talk about things like: Why some โ€œhealthyโ€ recipes can actually push calories way...
