Most Doctors Don't Mention This Until It's Too Late

Hi Reader

This week's YouTube video is not a trending topic, and honestly? It probably won't get a ton of views.

But here's the thing: I don't make videos to go viral. I make them to genuinely help people and lately, this topic has been coming up constantly in my clinic.

I've been having so many conversations with clients about blood sugar control. Many of them work with their doctor alongside me, and taking a proactive approach has revealed something important: a lot of them have pre-diabetes and had absolutely no idea.

Here's what's scary: most people with pre-diabetes don't know they have it. And by the time the doctor brings it up, you're often already in the diabetic range and being told you need medication.

The truth? There's a lot you can do before it ever gets to that point.

That's where your HbA1c comes in. You might have seen those blood glucose monitors people use now β€” they give you a snapshot of your blood sugar at one moment. But HbA1c shows your average blood sugar control over the last 2-3 months. There's no hiding. You can't trick it by eating well just one day before the test.

And that's exactly why being proactive matters so much. If you catch pre-diabetes early, you can make huge changes before it ever turns into a conversation about diabetes.

So if this sounds relevant to you β€” or someone you care about β€” I'd really encourage you to watch this week's video. I break down what HbA1c actually is, why it matters, and the practical, science-backed steps you can start right now to balance your blood sugars naturally.

And these tips aren't just for people with diabetes β€” they'll benefit anyone who wants more steady energy, fewer cravings, and better long-term health.

Hi Reader This week's YouTube video is one I’m genuinely so proud of. It’s all about women’s strength β€” not just in how we look, but in how we feel and age. Because losing fat while building muscle isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about setting yourself up for the next 10, 20, even 30 years. You’re strengthening your metabolism, protecting your body, and investing in your long-term health. Whether you’re going through menopause, pregnancy, missing periods, postpartum recovery, or you simply...

Hi Reader It's starting to get chilly, even here in Bermuda...🌴 And I'll be honest with you... Shorter evenings and the holidays creeping closer make it a tad bit harder to stay on track with your health goals this time of year. And it's not just me. The research shows most people gain 1-3 pounds during the fall and holiday season, and most never lose it. Over five years, that's 15 pounds. But here's the good news... The solution might surprise you: less really is more when it comes to...

What the new Consumer Reports investigation actually means.. Hi ReaderπŸ‘‹ I wanted to share something important that came up this week, especially for anyone who uses protein powders regularly. Consumer Reports recently tested 23 popular protein powders and shakes and found that several contained measurable levels of heavy metals like lead, cadmium, and arsenic. The issue was most common in plant-based powders, particularly those made with pea protein. The headlines sounded alarming, but after...
